I have O7, O8, and O9, and Neutron, N2, and N3. Interesting, I haven't had that problem, but I don't have a faderport either. I have demo'ed Ozone 8, Ozone 9 and Neutron 3 and find that its the same irrespective of version.If Izotope could fix this issue then i'd recommend it but as it is now i literally want to rip my hair out. You'll see the Faderport lose connectivity and you'll be waiting up to 30 secs just for it to reconnect. Neutron is to be used whilst mixing but just changing from one channel to another takes an eternity. It is even worse if you are a Faderport user.

I'm probably a bit over gabby about it, because I'm finishing out another project and continue to learn more now than ever, the Project page environment is brilliant, not to mention essentially free. It reads at about 24X to 30X faster than real time, so if you make adjustments to.well.anything on any effect parameter per song, you can run that and in about 10 seconds, it determines those essential final values, so that you don't have to burn yourself out, constantly re listening to adjustments, only to find the last 8 seconds of your song peaked into the red. The project page has a very fast song meter that reads song level info such as LUFS, true peak, RMS, etc. But have Ozone on 1 through 9, but turned off on those songs, because you compared them, and opted to use the fab bunch.Īdd to that, you can also locate these and other fx processors pre, and or post fader! For example, you might prefer a meter arrangement post fade, of your project master output that reads ALL of your song's levels, no matter how you set up processing. You might up to use your Fabfilter on songs 1, 3, 4, 6, 9. Think of it as no different than how your mixer channel FX insert area is within the song channels. You simply turn each on or off, mix/match, insert a particular EQ, whatever. What is also very nice is that Studio One's Project Page is an elegant host in housing your Fabfilter bundle, your possible Ozone choice, a few other inserts you may wish to have in that effects insert group.
I just passed on their sale again, but still considering for the next one. I went with a bundle from them over Ozone and have been wondering about Ozone's communication between plugins ever since. I'm fairly new to mastering my own stuff, but I've been relying on FabFilter for what I'll call rough masters. I haven't mastered anything in S1 yet, but I love the idea of Projects vs Songs and will be taking advantage of Projects.
